Well...I have finally made my way back to the blog :) Of course, my intentions were not to wait so very long to blog-but as time does- it got away from me. Today is October 31st...otherwise known in the Woelffer Family as Hallelujah Day.
* I want to inject a little irony here-I am sitting at my desk-contemplating how I should describe this day-and I look up on the shelf in front of me. I am staring at a "Merriam Webster's Dictionary of Basic English". Because I had to look twice at the word Hallelujah to see if I had spelled it right...I decided to confirm that I had spelled it correctly...thus I opened the book. It is a word that we say quite often-but for whatever reason don't write it very often:)
Anyway-Here is the Irony-here is how it reads...
Hallelujah- used to express praise, joy or thanks
The next word to follow is:
hallow- to set apart for holy purpose: treat as sacred
The next word is...You may have guessed it :)
Halloween- Need I say more?
So on Hallelujah Day- we take away all that is evil and not glorifying to God...and turn it around. We show grace to those who do not know our God the way we do-and attempt to set the standard. We have planned a day that is full of fun and kind things to do!
We have ran several errands-including a trip to visit my Grandmother who just came out of ICU-and have picked up LOTS of Pizza and the first group of young ladies that will be filling our home with giggles as we gather for a sleepover :) I do ask that you pray that our home will be a place this evening that truly honors God.
I will write more later...Keith is in Jacksonville preparing for a Charter-and the normal busy schedule beckons me :)
